American singer Jason Derulo canceled his June 28 performance in Ho Chi Minh City just hours before the show, citing health issues. Derulo had been scheduled to headline alongside Vietnamese artists Chi Pu, Tang Duy Tan, and Mono. His absence surprised organizers, who said he had postponed his flight multiple times and ultimately never arrived. Only two members of his management team appeared at Tan Son Nhat Airport on the day of the event.

Event spokesperson Thi Vo expressed regret over the last-minute cancellation but confirmed the concert continued with the local lineup. Organizers had already paid Derulo's full performance fee and completed all preparations. Legal discussions are expected to follow regarding the breach of contract.

Foreign tourist arrivals to Bali have risen by 10–15% due to ongoing border tensions between Cambodia and Thailand since July 24. The military conflict has led many travelers to redirect their trips from Bangkok or Siem Reap to safer alternatives like Bali, according to the South China Morning Post. The Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) confirmed this recent surge in arrivals.

Chào Bạn, a restaurant at 98 Tô Ngọc Vân Street, Hanoi, has earned the Michelin Bib Gourmand award three years in a row for its quality Vietnamese cuisine at reasonable prices. Founded by Vietnamese designer Helen Hoài and her French husband André Bosia (a former Metropole Hotel chef), the restaurant features 32 seats and an equal number of main dishes, served in a cozy 40-square-meter space with both indoor and outdoor dining.

Helen named it “Chào Bạn” (“Hello Friend”) to create a homely, welcoming vibe. Since its Michelin debut in 2023, international visitors have doubled, with many becoming regulars. Popular items include grilled ribs, grilled pork in moc mat leaves, pomelo salad, and braised pork belly with eggs. Prices range from VND85,000 to VND260,000 ($3.60–$11), with rotating seasonal dishes.

The kitchen is led by Chef Phạm Thị Thu Hằng, who has 28 years of experience, including 14 at the Metropole. She insists on daily fresh ingredients and is known for her consistency and dedication. Chào Bạn is open daily for lunch and dinner, and reservations are often required.
