Brooklyn Style
Crown Heights is an amazing neighborhood. It has turned into something really urban and edgy, fun and vibrant.
Because all the different people that are coming in are like from different parts of the US,
different parts of the world, and I get a taste of different cultures in my own neighborhood.
The style in this area has evolved drastically. It is a nice mixture right now of Boho comfortable style, with urban wear.
My personal style today is really chic and also really girly, a nice mixture of luxury with affordable.
My number one style icon is June Ambrose and everything she wears, I mean, I can't always rock it the way that she does,
but I 'm always inspired about the risks that she takes with fashion.
What inspires me fashionwise is just to look neat, look decent, I go to court a lot, and in court we have to wear suits.
I'm originally from Nigeria. There's a big difference between style in Nigeria and Crown Heights in Brooklyn. Over there it's much more formal.
My style icon is 100 percent Bianca Jagger. She really just embodies that '70s hippie look, while still being minimalist and classic,
and I think that tends to be what I lean toward.
The thing that attracted me to the dress first was the pattern. I love polka dots. But then when I saw that it was a Mandarin collar,
I thought that was so unusual, I just thought that was a really unique piece and I had to have it.
