I just spent exactly one week in Shandong, China.

What does a week in Shandong look like?

I took a train to Shanghai to a high speed train to Qufu to explore the ancient temples of Confucius,

and meet up with my guide, Howard.

He told me all about the handpainted artwork and calligraphy, and showed me hidden spots in the temple.

While we were there, a ceremony was held in honor of Confucius.

It was pretty special, but even if you can't make it for a ceremony,

you can still catch students asking Confucius for good luck and good grades on their exams.
