SoftBank will invest $2 billion in Intel by purchasing shares at $23 each, causing Intel's stock to jump 6% in after-hours trading. This move follows reports that the U.S. government may also buy a 10% stake in Intel, valued around $10.5 billion. Once a leader in the semiconductor industry, Intel has recently struggled to keep pace with competitors.

Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan, who took charge in March, has been leading a turnaround effort that includes cutting 15% of the company's workforce, nearly completed last month. Tan recently met with President Donald Trump, who praised his career and called the meeting “very interesting.”

SoftBank's investment signals growing confidence in Intel's recovery, while government involvement could provide further stability for the struggling chipmaker.

The International School Ho Chi Minh City (ISHCMC) has announced outstanding IB results for its Class of 2025, with a 98% diploma pass rate and an average score of 34 points, well above the global average of 30.58. Out of 109 graduates, 44% scored 35 points or higher, and six students reached over 40 points. More than half (53%) earned the IB Bilingual Diploma, over double the global rate.

Graduates are now preparing to attend leading universities worldwide, including Imperial College London, the University of California system, the University of Toronto, and Seoul National University. Collectively, they have secured scholarships worth US$56 million.

ISHCMC highlights that the Class of 2025 not only achieved academic excellence but also demonstrated leadership, multilingualism, and international-mindedness, continuing the school's reputation as a pioneer in global education.

A report by holidu.co.uk ranked Chiang Rai, Thailand, as the world's second safest city for female digital nomads, behind Taipei.
